We collect the following categories of information:

• Account Data: Name, email address, and password (hashed) when you register.
• Usage Data: Practice session history, AI feedback received, band score estimates, and feature interactions.
• Submitted Content: Speaking recordings and written essay text that you submit for AI analysis.
• Payment Data: Transaction references and subscription status. We do not store full card numbers — these are handled by our payment processor.
• Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies / session identifiers.

We use your data to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Platform.
• Generate AI feedback on your speaking and writing submissions.
• Manage your account, subscriptions, and access.
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts).
• Detect, prevent, and address fraudulent or abusive activity.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds:

• Contract: Processing necessary to deliver the service you signed up for.
• Legitimate Interests: Improving our Platform, maintaining security, and preventing abuse.
• Legal Obligation: Where required by applicable law.
• Consent: For optional communications such as newsletters, where you opt in.

We share data only with trusted service providers strictly necessary to operate the Platform, including:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage.
• AI Model Providers — processing your submissions to generate feedback (data is not used to train public models without your consent).
• Payment Processors — securely handling transactions.
• Analytics & Error Tracking — aggregated, anonymised performance data only.

All third parties are contractually required to protect your data.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Submitted content (recordings, essays) may be retained for up to 90 days after submission to facilitate re-review, then deleted automatically.

You may request deletion of your data at any time — see Section 8.

We use essential cookies and session tokens to operate the Platform. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled without affecting functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request erasure ("right to be forgotten").
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Data portability.
• Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.

The Platform is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encrypted data storage, HTTPS-only transmission, and strict access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
